Tsavo East

Tsavo is known for its ‘Red Elephants’, named so because of spraying themselves with red soil to protect their skin from insects and sun rays. Crocodiles and hippos are resident under the waterfall, while birds, leopards and Pavian are to be found further down the river in the green gallery forest. Lions with golden red Maene roam the park.
